It is made by reacting ethylene oxide with alkali-cellulose under rigidly controlled conditions. Purified HEC for personal care and cosmetic applications is typically sold at 95.0 percent minimum purity (dry basis). Solutions of HEC are pseudoplastic or shear-thinning. As a result, personal care products formulated with l HEC dispense rich and thick from the container, but spread easily on hair and skin.HEC is easily dissolved in cold or hot water to give crystal-clear solutions of varying viscosities. Furthermore, low to medium molecular weight types are fully soluble in glycerol and have good solubility in hydro-alcoholic systems containing up to 60 percent ethanol. Product DescriptionMonoethylene Glycol (MEG) is a colorless, virtually odorless and slightly viscous liquid. It is miscible with water, alcohols, aldehydes and many organic compounds. MEG will not dissolve rubber, cellulose acetate or heavy vegetable and petroleum oils. MEG has a low volatility and it is 50% more hygroscopic than glycerol at room temperature.Mono Ethylene Glycol (MEG) is the most widely used chemical from the Glycol family. It is an essential raw material for Polyester fibres and Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) polymer. MEG based products are also used as coolants in Automobile antifreeze, resins, humectants for paper etc. MEG can be transported in Epoxy coated MS tankers. • Polyester: Mono Ethylene Glycol is an essential raw material for Polyester. Ethylene Glycol reacts with PTA / to produce polyester.
• Adhesives, Sealants and Coatings: Mono Ethylene Glycol and D-Ethylene Glycol is used in latex based paint formulation. These glycols are also used to produce acrylate and methacrylate resins for coatings, adhesives, and paints.
• Alkyd Resins for Paints and Coatings: Mono Ethylene Glycol is used as a reactant in the manufacture of Alkyd resins which are used in Paints, enamels and varnishes.

It shows good compatibility in a wide range of systems and is effective over wide range of pH. This grade is effective in acidic or alkaline systems and efficient in high shear environment. The Defoamer is used to reduce the foam bubbles by coalescing toward the point from where they are large enough to float without any difficulty to the water surface. These are an extremely diverse set of chemicals establishment that are applied either to prevent foam or to destroy it. The defoamer has surface active-nature of the material, which causes it to spread very rapidly onto any air-water interface that it encounters. 

This usually happens, if an interface is already covered by the surface active material that tends to stabilize foams. DELTA-FC® 1501 is a silicone-free cost-effective defoamer based on a mixture of mineral oils and hydrophobic components in hydrocarbon carrier. DELTA-FC® 1501 is characterized by having a long-lasting defoaming effect in different synthetic latex and emulsion systems based on styrene-butadiene, acrylic and polyvinyl acetate. DELTA-FC® 1501 controls the foaming tendency of surfactants in water-based coatings and ink formulations (mill-base and let-down) without affecting the final film properties. DELTA-FC® 1501 has good storage stability with low tendency to sedimentation over time. Due to its high incompatibility, which makes it strong in defoaming, the influence of DELTA-FC® 1501 upon the transparency of clear or non-pigmented systems must be evaluated. It can be added at any stage of manufacture. For effective foam destabilization, it is advisable though to add a part of the dosage of DELTA-FC® 1501 prior to processing and a part during the let-down stage. 0.1-1.0% on total formulation weight.
