IGEPAL CO 210 is used as a co-emulsifier in nonionic surfactant blends, a defoaming agent in cold water cleaners and as an oil soluble detergent and dispersing agent for petroleum oils. IGEPAL CO products do not ionize in water, hence are nonionic and non-electrolytic. Nor are they subject to hydrolysis by aqueous solutions of acid or alkali.
